Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in speech therapy and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages, with a focus on early intervention and pediatric care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their speech and language needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific goals and challenges.
- Implement therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to support patient progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and the importance of therapy.
- Stay updated on the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology to enhance service delivery.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist is essential.
- Experience in pediatrics or school settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and patient assessment techniques is critical.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children with communication disorders is highly desirable.
