The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supports licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing therapeutic services to children with communication disorders. Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and feeding disorders in children. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, creativity, and family involvement in the therapy process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify each child’s needs and strengths.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based and play-based approaches.
- Provide therapy focused on improving communication, articulation, language development, fluency, and social interaction skills.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other professionals to support each child’s holistic growth.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Partner with families to provide education, home strategies, and ongoing support to maximize progress.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and community events that celebrate growth and connection.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Indiana state license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Experience in pediatrics or school settings preferred, but not required.
- Strong understanding of child development, early intervention strategies, and evidence-based treatment methods.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

$68,300 - $75,500 per year
