**Salary: $23 to $25 per hour**


**Job Overview:**


Small Talk Inc. is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in New Albany, IN. As an SLPA, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide therapeutic services to children with communication disorders. This role involves assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, documenting progress, and preparing therapy materials to help clients improve their speech, language, and communication skills.


**Responsibilities:**


- Assist licensed SLPs in implementing treatment plans for clients with communication disorders

- Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of an SLP

- Document client progress and maintain accurate records

- Prepare therapy materials and resources for therapy sessions

- Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, and parents to support client development goals

- Stay current on best practices and techniques in speech-language therapy


**Requirements:**


- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field

- Valid SLPA certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

- Previous experience working with children with communication disorders preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

- Compassionate and patient demeanor

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
