New graduates welcome

Overview

A child finding their voice can change their whole world. Help make those moments happen at Small Talk Pediatric Therapy.

We’re looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys working with children, connecting with families, and collaborating with teammates. You’ll provide individualized pediatric therapy in a practice that values your clinical judgment, makes room for documentation, and welcomes your ideas.

Whether you’re beginning your career or bringing years of experience, we’d love to meet you.

Description

Big milestones start with small moments.

A first word. A new way to ask for help. The confidence to join a conversation. At Small Talk, we help children build communication skills that carry into their homes, classrooms, friendships, and everyday lives.

We’re building a practice where great care and a sustainable career grow together. That means listening to clinicians, sharing ideas across disciplines, partnering with families, and continually improving how we work.

We want you to help shape that practice.

What makes Small Talk different

  • Time for the work beyond the session. Our standard full-time therapist schedule includes up to 35 hours of scheduled direct care and 5 hours for documentation and other responsibilities within a 40-hour workweek.
  • Options for your workweek. Choose from four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days, coordinated with clinic and patient needs.
  • A team to collaborate with. Exchange ideas with colleagues across speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and mental health.
  • A voice in how we grow. Bring your questions, clinical perspective, and ideas for improving the experience of children, families, and staff.
  • Support for your development. Build your skills through collaboration and annual continuing education and licensing assistance.

Your role

You’ll help children communicate, participate, and connect through care tailored to their strengths, needs, and family priorities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating pediatric speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans with meaningful, functional goals.
  • Providing engaging, evidence-based therapy that fits each child.
  • Helping families understand progress and use practical strategies between visits.
  • Collaborating with teammates and other professionals involved in the child’s care.
  • Maintaining timely, accurate evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Bringing curiosity and ideas to the ongoing improvement of our clinical services.

Who we’re looking for

You care about the child behind the diagnosis. You enjoy celebrating progress, adapting when something isn’t working, and learning alongside others.

You’ll need:

  • A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current SLP licensure, or eligibility to obtain the appropriate license before starting.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with families and colleagues.
  • A commitment to individualized, evidence-based pediatric care.

Pediatric or school-based experience is welcome, but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply. If you’re seeking a Clinical Fellowship, please let us know when applying so we can discuss supervision availability and fit.

Benefits

Our full-time benefits include:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with up to a 3.5% company match.
  • 80 hours of paid time off, prorated in the first year.
  • Eight paid holidays.
  • $250 annually toward continuing education and licensing.
  • Company-paid professional liability insurance.
  • Company-paid short-term disability and group term life insurance.
  • A company laptop.

Benefits are subject to applicable eligibility requirements and plan terms.
