What You’ll Do

• Conduct compassionate, developmentally appropriate assessments to understand each child’s unique needs.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that support emotional regulation, confidence, and connection.
• Provide individual and small group counseling using evidence-based approaches that meet kids where they are.
• Partner with families, caregivers, and fellow therapists (speech, OT, PT) to build consistent support across settings.
• Offer crisis management and behavior support when needed, with calm professionalism and care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with professional and ethical standards.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings, community outreach, and the joyful energy that makes Small Talk special!

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or similar).
• Experience working with children and individuals with developmental differences.
• Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and child development.
• Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging therapeutic environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills — we thrive on collaboration!
• A heart for families, a sense of humor, and a belief that therapy should feel like hope in motion.
