Overview
Small Talk Pediatric Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in delivering therapeutic services to children and adolescents in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate has a strong clinical foundation, experience in pediatric mental health, and a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of young clients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches, including CBT and play therapy.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with professional and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians.
- Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary.
- Offer telehealth services as needed.
- Engage with families and caregivers to support treatment goals and foster progress outside of sessions.
Qualifications: (One of the following must be obtained to qualify for this position)
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Active LCSW license (or eligibility for licensure in Indiana).
- Previous experience providing therapy to children and/or adolescents is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicaid/insurance documentation practices is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience
- Previous experience in mental health counseling or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with psychopharmacology and its application in treatment settings is a plus.
- Experience working with children or adolescents facing mental health challenges is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and the ability to apply them effectively in various situations.
- Understanding of therapeutic approaches, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is beneficial.
- Experience with telehealth services is an advantage but not mandatory.

Pay: $68,300 - $75,500.00 per year
