The Delivery Lead owns the end-to-end delivery of client projects at SLTWTR, from kickoff through release. This role covers project planning, cross-functional coordination, and client-facing communication, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with expectations. We're looking for someone with 5+ years in project management or professional services and a proven track record managing large and enterprise client engagements.

Summary

The Delivery Lead is accountable for the successful delivery of client projects from kickoff through release. They own project planning, timelines, and execution, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.


They lead the delivery function, manage client dependencies, and coordinate with key stakeholders such as Product Owner, Engineering, and Solutions Architect to ensure smooth execution. The Delivery Lead ensures projects are structured for success, risks are managed early, and communication remains clear and proactive throughout the production lifecycle.


Key Roles 

1.  Project Planning & Milestone Ownership

Owns the structure of the project (timelines, milestones, and dependencies), ensuring projects are set up for success and profitability.


Responsibilities:

  • Defines project plans, delivery schedules, and key milestones.
  • Aligns milestones with scope, timeline, and profitability targets.
  • Tracks and manages client dependencies and critical path items.
  • Identifies risks early and adjusts plans to maintain delivery health.


2. Delivery Execution & Accountability

Owns day-to-day delivery performance, ensuring projects stay on track and meet commitments


Responsibilities:

  • Ensures projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Runs project status meetings and maintains delivery cadence.
  • Monitors execution against plan and holds team accountable to commitments.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and focus.


3. Cross-Functional Coordination & Resourcing

Ensures the right people are working on the right things at the right time.


Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Engineering on resource allocation.
  • Coordinates across Product Owner, Solutions Architect, QA, and Engineering to ensure delivery readiness.
  • Supports Revenue team with early-stage planning when needed.


4. Client Delivery & Expectation Management

Owns the client-facing delivery experience and ensures alignment throughout the project lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary delivery contact for clients.
  • Communicates progress, risks, and changes clearly and proactively.
  • Manages expectations around scope, sequencing, and timelines.
  • Handles escalations and ensures client confidence in delivery.


5. Delivery Operations & Performance

Owns delivery metrics, process improvement, and scalability of the delivery function.


Responsibilities:

  • Tracks and reports on delivery performance metrics (on-time delivery, velocity, quality).
  • Drives process improvements to increase efficiency and predictability.
  • Builds repeatable, scalable delivery frameworks and playbooks.
  • Ensures delivery performance aligns with profitability and operational goals.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in project management, delivery leadership, or professional services.
  • Proven track record managing client implementations or projects $250K+.
  • Experience leading delivery teams in Agile/Scrum environments (2-week sprints).
  • Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, and project profitability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong operational mindset with focus on process, scalability, and efficiency.

Bonus:

  • Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
  • Background in software implementation or technical consulting.
  • Familiarity with product-led services or agency models.
  • Experience scaling delivery teams through growth phases.
