Slang n Platez is looking for a reliable, high-energy Full-Time Line Cook to join our kitchen team! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in clean, efficient food prep, and can keep up during heavy rushes, we want to hear from you.

Position: Full-Time Line Cook WEEKLY PAY!!!!

Pay Rate: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour (starting pay negotiable based on experience)

Performance Raise: Guaranteed pay evaluation and potential raise after 30 days for candidates who demonstrate strong reliability and experience.

Hours: Shifts coincide with operating hours (Tuesday–Saturday, plus occasional Mondays for prep/special events).

Store Hours of Operation

Tuesday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Friday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Saturday: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Sunday & Monday: Closed (occasional Monday shifts required)

Key Responsibilities

Speed & Efficiency: Execute menu items accurately and rapidly during peak meal rushes.

Food Prep & Station Maintenance: Keep your workstation stocked, sanitized, and organized according to health and safety standards.

Quality Control: Ensure all food leaving the kitchen meets Slang n Platez standards for taste, presentation, and temperature.

Teamwork: Work closely with front-of-house and kitchen staff to maintain steady ticket times and clear communication.

Requirements & Qualifications

References: Provide 3 strong professional references when applying or interviewing.

Reliable Transportation: Must have dependable transport to ensure punctual arrival for every shift.

Kitchen Pace: Proven ability to move quickly, multitask under pressure, and manage high ticket volume without sacrificing quality.

Experience: Prior kitchen or line cook experience is preferred.

Punctuality & Work Ethic: Strong commitment to showing up on time, ready to work hard with a positive attitude.
