Position Overview: 

Skyde Solutions is seeking a dedicated Telecom Fielding Technician to join our team. This entry-level (on the job training to be provided), outdoor position requires traveling to various locations and neighborhoods—navigating between utility poles, telecom pedestals, and vaults to capture measurements, pictures, and other data that supports OSPE (Outside Plant Engineering) telecommunications related projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a self-starting attitude, and the ability to work independently, or in small teams, with minimal supervision. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift ~ 25lbs, bend, stoop and reach frequently. Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. 
• Work Assignments: Obtain and understand work assignments and scope requirements in conjunction with management. Travel to applicable work locations in a timely manner. 
• Field Data Collection: Use provided tools to collect required data and photographs in accordance with scope requirements, including using KatapultPro (fielding software). 
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain issued equipment, including but not limited to: digital cameras, measuring tools, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
• Accurate Reporting: Provide accurate, legible, and complete field data by required deadlines. 
• Communication: Communicate effectively with management and team members daily to ensure efficient workflow and project updates. 
• Safety and Independence: Work safely and independently, following all safety protocols and standards without direct supervision. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college, trade school, or prior military experience is preferred. 
• Experience: Prior experience in the telecommunications and/or utility industry is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided. 
• Technical Skills: Must be tech savvy, with the ability to use various web and phone-based applications (Google Maps, Microsoft Office... Etc.) to communicate, manage work assignments, locate areas, and complete administrative tasks such as time sheets and expense reports. 
• Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering accurate work. Must be a self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in field-based work within telecom, utilities, or construction. 
• Previous experience with a travel-based role.

Location & Travel: 

This is a travel-focused position based in Oklahoma City and its surrounding regions. Overnight travel will be required to other markets outside of Oklahoma as well.

Compensation & Benefits: 

• Hourly Pay: We provide a competitive hourly wage, along with a performance-based project bonus structure. (Both the hourly rate and bonuses are determined by experience and performance.) 
• Per Diem: Provided when applicable.
