Position Overview


The simulation consultant's mission is to develop technological solutions to help world-class organizations solve their problems. Our solutions touch a wide variety of industries such as supply chains, mining operations, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, transit, fast food, healthcare and much more.

 

We are looking for people with a keen interest in technologies such as simulation, optimization, data science, artificial intelligence, and software application development. For this position, simulation and optimization will be your main focus, but depending on your skills and interests, you can also contribute to other spheres.

Main tasks and responsibilities

·       Work in a project team in close collaboration with a solution architect, Scrum Master, and other simulation consultants.

·       Design and develop tailor-made solutions that exceed customers' expectations and allow them to answer their business questions.

·       Break down customers' complex problems and develop functional specifications of a solution to solve those problems.

·       Collect, analyze, transform, and prepare data that will be used in the design of the solution and its use.

·       Program unique and high-quality simulation and optimization models in AnyLogic, ARENA, SimPy or other development environment.

·       Conduct rigorous verifications and validations of the solution to ensure that it represents the modeled system.

·       Create data structures to receive outputs, design dashboards, and write analysis reports.

·       Analyze the results of solutions and present them to customers.

·       Clearly communicate strategies, guidelines and concepts related to simulation and optimization models, and other types of technologies.

·       Train and support customers in the use of the solution.

·       Work according to the philosophy of the Agile methodology and following SimWell's proven methodology.

·       Contribute to the development of SimWell's expertise in the fields of simulation, optimization, digital twin, artificial intelligence, and data science.

·       Undergo training and work in a spirit of continuous improvement to maintain cutting-edge knowledge of the industry.

·       Any other technical task, depending on your profile, that you would like to carry out to contribute to the project development effort.

Minimum requirements

·       Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations research, computer science, mathematics, or a similar field

·       Excellent data exploitation/management skills, Excel expert and intermediate in PowerBI or Tableau.

·       Knowledge of Java or Python programming.

·       Knowledge of quantitative/statistical methods.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Rigorous, flexible, collaborative, and team-oriented person, with the ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced virtual environment.


Assets (not mandatory) for the position

·       Experience in simulation

·       Experience in one of the following tools: AnyLogic, ARENA, Simpy.

·       Experience in data science and artificial intelligence

·       Knowledge of IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things)

·       Bilingualism
