Simple Beginnings LLC is dedicated to provide people with disabilities with staff that are eager to help them in their daily lives as well as to teach them new skills. We provide supports to people that are needing help with basic living skills to advanced employment searching.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients in daily activities such as community outings, life skills training, and recreational activities.
- Follow individualized support and behavior plans to ensure safety, consistency, and positive outcomes.
- Assist with personal care as needed, including hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Implement structured schedules and maintain active engagement throughout the day.
- Encourage participation in community-based activities and social interactions.
- Accurately complete daily logs, time sheets, and data collection on client progress.
- Maintain professional communication with supervisors, coworkers, and clients’ families or guardians.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, DSPD (Division of Services for People with Disabilities) standards, and state regulations.
- Support health and safety protocols, including emergency preparedness and infection control procedures.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in human services preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (required to transport clients).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Schedule & Environment:
- Monday–Friday, typically day shift
- Work primarily in a group setting within the day program and community environments.
- Must be comfortable assisting clients in outdoor and recreational activities.
Salary
$18 - $18 per hour
