Silver Maples is a residential care home operating in Claremont, New Hampshire. The goal of our home is to provide a home-like, safe atmosphere for the residents to enjoy. Each resident is assisted in finding opportunities and experiences which continue to stimulate, as well as fulfill, their needs both physically and psychosocially. A holistic approach is utilized in the provision of care. We provide as-needed nursing oversight, 24-hour trained staff, meals, medication management, assistance with ADLs, emergency response, transportation to appointments, and activities. In the caregiving process at Silver Maples, all regulations set forth by the State of New Hampshire in the Residential Care Home Licensing Regulations, He-P 805, are upheld as they relate to every area of operation and the environment in which we function.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support to residents in our home environment. This role is vital in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and supporting the care team in delivering high-quality care. Your role as a Personal Care Assistant will make a significant difference in the lives of those you serve.

Responsibilities

1. Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
3. Monitor residents' conditions by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to supervisors
4. Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
5. Assist with meal preparation when necessary
6. Collaborate effectively with the care team to ensure comprehensive resident care

Requirements

1. Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
2. Experience working in geriatrics is highly desirable
3. Cooking and housekeeping skills
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
5. Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations
6. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others
7. Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and assisting with mobility

Schedule

1. 20 to 40 hours per week
2. Day shift, evening shift, second shift
3. Rotating weekends
