The Sign of the Buck aspires to create an upscale yet unpretentious dining experience for locals and tourists alike by carefully curating a menu that showcases the best of what Adams County has to offer— from local produce and farm-raised meats to world-class beers, ciders, and spirits—with a distinctively Gallic spin.

The Sign of the Buck is a new restaurant and bar located in the heart of Gettysburg, occupying the first floor of the historic Union Hotel. The newly renovated 100-seat brasserie features a New American menu inspired by French cuisine and showcases produce and meats from local farms as well as an extensive selection of craft cocktails, wine, beer, and other libations. Front-of-house staff will report directly to the General Manager and the Front-of-House Manager.

We are seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals to interact with our patrons in a skillful, friendly, engaged, and informed manner.

Server: $3-$5/hour + Tips

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally allowed to work in the U.S.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated; able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly and engaged, with the desire and ability to work as part of a team
• Maintain uniform, hygiene, and grooming standards and requirements
• Ensure equipment is used safely and cleaned and maintained properly
• Adhere to daily and weekly deep-clean schedule
• Operate with a positive attitude and interact with staff respectfully; lead by example to set and maintain a high level of standards for dining excellence and mutual trust among fellow staff members
• Experience: 1-2 years prior experience in an upscale casual dining environment

Preferences:

• RAMP certification
• Previous serving experience
• Previous experience using the Toast point of sales system
