ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete timely month end close activities including the preparation of journal entries, general ledger account analysis, and reconciliations; coordinate with offshore resources
• Support and oversee the bi-weekly payroll process; work with offshore resources
• Manage the sales/use tax process – including rates, filings, and payments across multiple states
• Maintain the fixed assets and depreciation schedules
• Support Accounting Manager with project accounting
• Responsible for tracking, updating, and completing tax registrations
• Oversee and support expense reports and reimbursement
• Support external financial and tax auditors as needed
• Other projects and duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four-year Accounting degree required; CPA preferred
• 4-6 years progressively responsible accounting experience
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, analytical and accounting skills
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills; ERP/Accounting Software experience
• Proven track record for problem solving and taking initiative to learn and improve processes
• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new complex tasks
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• ERP Software experience – Epicor
• Sharepoint and One Drive experience
• Experience in a project and/or manufacturing environment
