We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, dedicated Marine Window and Hatch Technician to join our growing team at ShoreSight Marine Windows, with a state-of-the-art shop located in the heart of Shelter Island. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the marine (boat/yachts) and/or glass/window industry, with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills, and build a career in this industry. This position will support our Master Window & Hatch Specialist on all boat window and hatch projects. This will include, but is not limited to, glass and acrylic installation, replacement, repair, leak tracing, caulking, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of marine windows and hatches.
• Conduct leak tracing and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Assist with caulking and sealing tasks as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge through continuous learning and self-improvement.

Requirements :

• Some experience in the marine, boat/yacht, or glass/window industry preferred.
• Experienced in operating power tools, including routers, table saws, drills, chop saws, and power sanders.
• Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
