With a very successful launch of our Job Training program in Greensboro in 2024, SBTC is now seeking to expand our services with additional programmatic offerings. Who We Are She Built This City’s mission is to provide industry disruptive programming that sparks interest and builds pathways to lucrative careers in the skilled trades for youth, women and marginalized communities. Our Vision is to dismantle barriers and stigmas in traditionally male-dominated industries through innovative, sustainable practices that prepare us for a future of jobs that have yet to be created. What We Do She Built This City provides the following programs / services: Explorer Kids / Camps ( Youth Ages 7-17 / Adult Team Building) We have a portfolio of 30 - 40 builds that provide hands-on learning experiences / exposure to the trades. We can host up to 20 youth at any one of these individual builds. Community Projects / Builds We can work with schools / community partners to build projects that would be beneficial to the community as a whole. While we can customize solutions, here are some of the options: Picnic Tables Giant Scrabble or Jenga Game Set Garden Beds Shed SBTC Adult Workforce Development We need more on-ramps for women in the trades and we need to take new approaches for training to address the widening gap for women. It is our goal to get women to work as quickly as possible. She Built This City is committed to addressing this problem with our Pre-Apprenticeship Training and Women’s Repair Crew Apprenticeship.

Role Description


She Built This City is looking for detail oriented, entrepreneurial and resourceful individual to join our team as the Greensboro Program Manager.  With a very successful launch of our Job Training program in Greensboro in 2024, SBTC is now seeking to expand our services with additional programmatic offerings.  The right individual will have experience managing teams, empowering individuals and engaging with culturally diverse communities.  


Responsibilities


Program Leadership & Management

  • Manage a team of Coordinators, Instructors, and Recruiters across 2–4 program offerings.
  • Oversee day-to-day program operations for quality, efficiency, and participant success.
  • Implement systems (CRM or similar) to track participant progress, outcomes, and program performance.
  • Ensure programs meet milestones, goals, and adhere to approved budgets.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and scaling of Greensboro programs.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple programs, partners, and community needs with flexibility and focus.

Student/Participant Success

  • Monitor and evaluate participant progress; identify challenges and implement supports.
  • Foster a strong culture of belonging, accountability, and achievement.
  • Partner with instructors and coaches to ensure high-quality instruction, mentoring, and job readiness.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to maintain strong enrollment.

External Engagement & Partnerships

  • Establish and manage a Greensboro Advisory Council of participants, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with employers, community leaders, and educational partners to expand opportunities for participants.
  • Represent SBTC at events, building visibility and strengthening partnerships.
  • Work with the External Engagement team to share participant impact stories.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and report data on program performance and participant outcomes.
  • Contribute to grant applications, proposals, and program evaluation reports.
  • Recommend and implement program improvements aligned with SBTC’s strategic plan.


Experience & Qualifications

We are looking for an exceptional non-profit professional with a track record of success, passion for effecting change, and commitment to public service.


  • Required
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or 5+ years in program coordination preferred).
  • Previous non-profit experience with demonstrated program leadership.
  • Experience building productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Passion for empowering marginalized communities and advancing equity.
  • Working on-site some evenings & some weekends
  • Preferred
  • Experience in the Construction or workforce development  Industries
  • Bilingual Skills
  • Knowledge of economic mobility landscape in the Piedmont Triad area.
