You’ll be equipped with an SMA service vehicle to provide a wide range of mobile repair and maintenance services throughout the Chattanooga area. Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for both foreign and domestic vehicles.
  • Services may include (but are not limited to): brakes, tune-ups, cooling systems, electrical diagnostics, oil changes, suspension, timing belts, and more.
  • Deliver a professional and positive customer experience at every service call.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and management regarding findings, recommendations, and repair progress.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation on each job.
  • Ensure the SMA service vehicle is clean, stocked, and properly maintained.
  • Safely handle tools, fluids, and equipment in accordance with company and environmental standards.
  • Participate in occasional SMA Car Care Seminars to educate and engage with the local community.
  • Stay current with automotive technology, service techniques, and diagnostic tools.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • Strong working knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, brakes, electrical, HVAC, suspension, and diagnostics.
  • ASE certifications or equivalent formal training in automotive technology preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors year-round (except during extreme/inclement weather).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
  • A customer-first attitude and professional appearance.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in the field.


Salary

$26.6 - $39.9 per hour
