Shared Studios, Inc. is seeking a talented and hands-on Software Engineering Team Lead to join our growing team. This position has enormous growth opportunities as the company is at the early stages of a major promising product introduction. As a leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the software development for our life-size fully immersive audiovisual conferencing and collaboration solution for the corporate market, made of a SaaS IoT platform hosted on AWS and of an application built with the Electron framework (our solution doesn’t require proprietary audio or video equipment).

Location: United States - Flexible (Ability to travel to NYC or San Francisco is valued)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a globally dispersed team of software engineers, ensuring the successful execution of development projects
- Contribute to, and ensure the successful development of high-quality software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement product features and improvements
- Manage software development processes and workflows, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality standards
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and career growth
- Grow the team to meet our goals - e.g., QA, devops, security
- Work closely with the management team to define and implement technical strategies and roadmaps
Profile and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field, and a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in software engineering
- 2 to 4 years of experience leading software development teams and managing offshore engineering resources
- Expertise in modern software development processes, methodologies and tools, including recent AI-based ones
- Experience with AWS and the Electron framework, or similar
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a fast pace while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Expertise in video streaming / compression,, WebRTC, or similar is highly valued
- Startup experience at the seed-stage or series A is preferred
- Ambition to grow into a Head of Engineering or CTO role
Compensation: The US base salary range for this full time position is $130,000-$170,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Salary
