Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain server-side applications and APIs to support front-end functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, front-end developers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration and alignment with project goals.
  • Optimize backend systems for speed, scalability, and reliability.
  • Design and implement database structures, queries, and integrations with third-party services.
  • Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
  • Monitor and improve application performance, security, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across development, staging, and production environments.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a backend web developer, preferably in an agency or multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, PHP, or Java.
  • Experience with frameworks like Express, Django, Flask, or Laravel.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization tools like Docker.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with GraphQL APIs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Passion for working on projects that inspire creativity and foster connection.
