Description

Home Staging Specialist — Set the Stage Boise Treasure Valley

Part-time | W-2 | $15–$38/hr depending on role and job complexity

Set the Stage Boise Treasure Valley is looking for creative, detail-oriented Home Stagers to join our team. This is a flexible, project-based role — perfect for someone who wants meaningful, hands-on creative work without a rigid 9-to-5, while still being someone we can count on when jobs come up.

You'll help select and arrange furniture and décor, prep and manage inventory, and turn empty houses into market-ready homes across the Treasure Valley.

What flexible really means here: You can accept or decline individual jobs, and we don't guarantee a fixed weekly schedule. But we're looking for stagers with genuinely open availability during our core working hours (Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm) — not just availability in theory, but the real bandwidth to say yes when good jobs come up. This isn't the right fit if you can only work occasional evenings or weekends; it is a great fit if your days are largely open and you want steady, recurring work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Lead Stagers and team members to plan and execute staging projects
  • Select and arrange furniture, décor, and accessories to create cohesive, market-ready spaces
  • Pull, pack, and prep inventory for transport; restock and organize the warehouse
  • Communicate professionally with Staging Directors and incorporate feedback quickly
  • Follow staging guidelines and brand standards while bringing your own creative eye

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong, demonstrable aesthetic sense — comfortable making confident design decisions within guidelines
  • Physical capability to lift/move furniture and décor (up to 50 lbs, often with a partner) and be on your feet for extended periods, including occasional stairs
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable personal transportation (you won't transport staging inventory yourself — moving crews handle that — but you'll need to get yourself to properties and the warehouse across the Treasure Valley)
  • Genuine weekday daytime availability (Mon–Fri, 10am–6pm) — most active stagers work 10–20 hrs/week
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and ability to take direction well
  • Dependability — when you accept a job, we need to know it's covered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in home staging, interior design, retail visual merchandising, fine/performing arts, or related fields
  • Familiarity with local real estate trends
  • A portfolio, photos, or social/Pinterest links showcasing rooms or spaces you've styled (optional, but it helps your application stand out)

Compensation & Pay Structure

  • Most staging jobs are paid a flat rate based on complexity and experience required — this is designed to reward efficient, quality work, not just hours logged
  • Training, team meetings, and warehouse support are paid hourly, starting at $15/hr
  • Pay range across all job types: $15–$38/hr; we'll walk through how that range works during your interview
  • Referral commissions and employee discounts on products
  • Access to professional development and training
  • W-2 employee — taxes withheld, not a 1099 contractor role

Work Environment

  • On-site work at our Boise-area warehouse and at client properties throughout the Treasure Valley (primary service area discussed at interview based on where you're based)
  • Occasional evening or weekend jobs may be available for those who want them, but they are not the core of this role
  • Growth path: strong stagers are considered first for Lead Stager roles and other advancement opportunities, including our Assistant Manager track

Salary

$15 - $38 per hour
