Our Fractional CFO/Controllers are the face of SNS for their group of clients, and also lead and manage the internal team that performs the FP&A and Controller work. Client leads leverage their backgrounds in client service, FP&A, financial leadership, small & mid-size business experience, and GAAP accounting concepts to provide subject matter expertise to leaders of growing businesses.

What is SNS looking for?

Responsibilities: SNS Fractional CFOs / Controllers (fCFO) play an integral role in managing our client relationships, which includes:

  • Providing CFO-level expertise on behalf of SNS for clients’ monthly financial reviews and forward-looking strategy discussions.
  • Managing the teams of SNS associates that will be responsible for delivering SNS services.
  • Creating project workplans and holding teams accountable to deadlines.
  • Ensuring quality and consistency by reviewing the team’s work products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to SNS’s standard services.
  • Serving as the technical interface between the clients and the team by leading regular client and engagement team meetings.
  • Demonstrating the willingness and ability to pitch in as needed (on their own teams and supporting other teams) to ensure deadlines and SNS’s commitment to quality are met.

Technical Skills: 

  • 5+ years building and working with financial models (required)
  • Advanced Excel competency: pivot tables and advanced formulas (required), power query (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting concepts (preferred)
  • 5+ years working with accounting software, e.g. QuickBooks Online (nice to have – although lots of opportunity to grow at SNS if you haven’t worked directly with accounting software)
  • 1-2 years of data modeling experience (nice to have – lots of opportunity to grow at SNS if you don’t have this skill already)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI (nice to have – lots of opportunity to grow at SNS if you don’t have this skill already)
  • MBA, CPA, or MAcc (nice to have)

Experience:

  • Client service background, includes internal client service or professional services (required)
  • 5+ years serving as the Finance and Accounting subject matter expert in gatherings of stakeholders (required)
  • Working in an EOS or similar environment (nice to have)
  • 5+ years people manager experience (nice to have)


Location:  

SNS is headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana. While we prefer that the role be based locally, we are open to discuss remote working arrangements.

This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and benefits package, including health insurance, dental, vision, 401(k), and an open-ended vacation policy. We are willing to discuss full-time, part-time, hybrid, or remote working arrangements. Some travel may be required for client kickoffs and quarterly meetings. Salary

$80,000 - $100,000 per year
