Serenity Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Clinician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, particularly those struggling with mental health and Substance Use Disorders (SUD). This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals dealing with mental health challenges in the Merced community. We are looking for a clinician who can work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting, helping clients address mental health and substance use issues in an integrated manner.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy for clients with mental health and substance use disorders, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations, with a focus on co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address both mental health and substance use needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians, social workers, and addiction specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Participate in case consultations and ongoing professional development.
  • Provide psychoeducation and resources to clients and their families, focusing on mental health and recovery from substance use.
  • Ensure all services are provided in a culturally competent and inclusive manner.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Psychologist (LP).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing mental health counseling or therapy, including at least one (1) year of experience working with individuals with Substance Use Disorders (SUD). Possession of a SUD certification may substitute for one (1) year of required experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and interventions, with specific expertise in co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.
  • Certification or additional training in substance use disorder treatment (e.g., CADC or other relevant certifications) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience working with diverse populations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

$72,800 - $83,200 per year
