Position Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Summer Interns who love working with kids to join our team and support our therapists during therapy sessions in Port St. Lucie. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children and helping them learn, play, and grow in a supportive and engaging environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist therapists with the setup, facilitation, and wrap-up of therapy sessions
  • Support children and adolescents during activities by providing encouragement, guidance, and a positive attitude
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and fun environment for all participants
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials and supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Participate in team discussions and reflections to enhance learning

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must genuinely love working with children and adolescents
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, flexible, and eager to learn
  • Experience working or volunteering with children is a plus
  • Students or graduates in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Education, Psychology, or related fields are encouraged to apply, but not required

 

Internship Details:

  • Duration: Summer 2026
  • Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours during summer camp program days
  • Location: Port St. Lucie, FL
  • Compensation: This internship is unpaid, but offers valuable hands-on learning and mentorship. School credit may be available depending on your program’s requirements. Letters of recommendation will be provided.
