Position Responsibilities: 

  • Maintains and manages a caseload of individual therapy sessions in the home, school, and community settings.  
  • Completes daily treatment notes, initial and annual evaluations and plan of care documents to update goals (OT only) and other documentation as needed within required time frame.    
  • Implements theories of practice models supporting Sensory Innovation Therapies’ therapeutic model.   
  • Participates in on-going collaboration with the client's team and family including emails, phone calls and face-to-face discussions, as needed. 
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with clients and families by providing parent education, home programs, and parent support as needed.   
  • Creates visual schedules, social stories, and home programs to help support therapy goals.   
  • Enhance client engagement in health, well-being, and life quality through performance skills support 
  • Participates in supervision meetings to support clinical development.  
  • Participate in all required company orientation, professional development and ongoing trainings as required.   
  • Actively participates in staff meetings and team meetings, as needed. 
  • Follows all company policies and procedures. 
  • Moderate physical effort (lift/carry/push up to 25 lbs), endurance, and mobility to play with children. 

 

Requirements: 

  • OT: Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) 
  • Licensed by the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy  
  • Valid Florida driver’s license 
  • Criminal record clearance, or formal exemption 
  • Experience working with children or clients with special needs

Salary

$40 - $60 per hour
