As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at our clinic, you'll join a collaborative team dedicated to enhancing communication and swallowing skills for a diverse clientele. You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in both children and adults. You'll craft and execute personalized treatment plans that meet each client's unique needs. This role requires a strong understanding of language components, articulation, the mechanics of speech, and social communication, all delivered with a friendly, supportive approach. Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, voice, hearing, and language impairments.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on improving communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension.
  • Provide therapy that is customized to the client’s needs, utilizing a variety of techniques and tools to facilitate communication effectiveness.
  • Educate clients and their families about communication disorders and the steps to improve their communication and swallowing functions.
  • Maintain diligent records of client’s progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Utilize and recommend adaptive devices or other technology to assist with communication.
  • Capture and analyze data to track client progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Supervise and mentor SLP-As to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Availability: Full-time, 7:45 AM to 7:15 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Location: Clinic-based. Reliable transportation required.
  • Other: Must pass a criminal background check. Adhere to ASHA Code of Ethics and HIPAA regulations.
  • Physical: Must be 18 or older. Ability to engage in physically demanding activities. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • State licensure as a speech-language pathologist and registered with DORA.

Pay Range:

  • SLP: $38-$62 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
