As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you'll join a collaborative team focused on improving functional abilities and enhancing the daily lives of a diverse clientele. You will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized intervention plans aimed at helping clients achieve independence in daily living skills, work, and leisure activities. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of physical, emotional, and environmental factors affecting occupational performance, delivered with a warm, empathetic approach. Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify functional impairments and client needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies that promote physical and psychological well-being.
  • Use therapeutic activities and exercises to improve clients' ability to perform daily tasks.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to create holistic, integrated treatment plans.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate clients and their families about coping strategies and adaptive techniques to enhance participation and performance in daily activities.
  • Recommend and demonstrate the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technologies to support client goals.
  • Supervise and mentor COTAs to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Availability: Open Availability, 7:45 AM to 7:15 PM, Monday through Friday. 
  • Minimum of 18 billable hours per week
  • Location: Clinic-based. Reliable transportation is required.
  • Other: Must pass a criminal background check and adhere to professional ethics and HIPAA regulations.
  • Physical: Must be 18 or older. Able to engage in physically demanding activities and lift up to 25 lbs.

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and State Licensure as OT.
  • Registered by DORA

Pay Range:

OT: $40-$62 per billable hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
