We are looking for a Backend Developer (full-time, remote contractor) to participate in our R&D projects related to The Graph ecosystem. This position has growth potential and the ideal candidate is a self-starter and proactive in contributing to other projects and products.
Description
Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and implement new features for our products and components of The Graph protocol
- Work closely with researchers, engineers, and partners from The Graph ecosystem to drive product design and development
- Contribute to product discussions, processes, and strategic decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- Ability to write high-performance, production-quality code (Python, Rust, Go)
- Expertise in designing and implementing APIs (REST, JSON)
- Experience in responsive microservices design and development
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis)
- Experience in working with Linux and Dockers
- Experience using collaborative development best practices (Git, review processes, CI/CD pipelines)
- English proficiency (written and spoken)
Nice to have
- Drive to go deeper down the blockchain rabbit hole
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and protocols like Ethereum
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services
- Experience in working with Kubernetes, Helm
Salary
$25 - $40 per hour
