Seed & Smith Lead Shipping Coordinator Denver, CO · Full time

The Lead Shipping Coordinator oversees the processing and fulfillment of both wholesale and retail orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal standards and state regulations. This role is critical in managing inventory movement and coordinating logistics to support efficient distribution operations. As responsibilities grow, the position also includes administration of METRC and LeafLink systems, requiring detailed record-keeping, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional communication with sales, inventory, and compliance teams. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing complex shipping workflows.

Reports to: Director of Operations


Required Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

(Some weekends as needed)


Position Duties & Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

  • Manage all distribution employees and enforce company policies
  • Oversee all of distribution processes
  • Collaborate with wholesale and retail departments on order distribution timelines and requirements
  • Review sales orders in LeafLink for accuracy 
  • Prepare and check orders according to SOPs 
  • Prepare manifests and pick lists for outgoing orders 
  • Schedule order preparation according to customer location and pickup/delivery dates
  • Maintain organization of finished goods inventory according to product type 
  • Quality control of flower SKUs for wholesale sales
  • Enter cycle counts against various inventory management software 
  • Audit inventory in METRC/LeafLink for discrepancies 
  • Suggest and implement improvements to distribution processes

 

Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Have a high level of attention to detail 
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize 
  • Enjoy working both autonomously and in a team environment 
  • Excellent time and task management skills 
  • Previous experience in QuickBooks, METRC, LeafLink, or other inventory management software
  • Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience a plus 
  • Must possess or qualify for a MED Badge

Compensation & Benefits:    

  • Compensation Range: $21.00/hr - $22.00/hr (depending on experience)
