Position Summary

The Market Coordinator supports the daily operations of SECOR Cares by maintaining market & warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and food safety standards while providing a welcoming and collaborative experience for staff, volunteers, and guests. This individual is highly relational, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable in warehouse operations, with the ability to work effectively alongside volunteers while ensuring operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Fully supports the faith-based mission of SECOR Cares
  • Assist Operations Manager as a point of contact to volunteers, giving direction as needed to keep market fully stocked throughout the day
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current warehouse and market inventory and assist with inventory control and rotating stock as instructed
  • Pulls supplies for stocking food market shelves and refrigerators as instructed. Facilitates best first-in, first-out practices
  • Demonstrates professional conduct with guests, visitors, volunteers and staff, representing SECOR’s mission and values
  • Possesses leadership skills, adhering to our Core Values, including strong listening and verbal communication skills, working alongside our volunteers
  • Preserves a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and cold storage areas neat
  • Assists in unloading trucks and storing food and other goods in accordance with SECOR Cares and State and local safe food handling standards
  • Understands and adheres to OSHA safety regulations. Complies with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with volunteers, staff, and guests
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory records and organized warehouse systems
  • Working knowledge of warehouse and market operations, inventory management, receiving, stocking, and distribution practices
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and transport products and materials throughout the warehouse, including repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
  • Forklift and warehouse equipment experience preferred
  • Experience operating a pallet jack, forklift and/or reach truck. Certification is preferred


Schedule & Classification

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 30 hours/week
  • FLSA Status: Non-exempt
