About the Role

Seaweed, Rockaway’s newest legal cannabis dispensary, is looking for Part -time Budtenders to join our founding team. We’re seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and knowledgeable individuals who are passionate about cannabis and committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience in a fun, compliant, and community-focused retail environment.

What You’ll Do

• Learn New York State cannabis retail regulations and dispensary’s SOPs
• Welcome and guide customers through their cannabis shopping journey
• Educate consumers on product types, effects, and usage
• Build lasting customer relationships and grow our local community base
• Promote customer loyalty with our rewards program and recommendations
• Use Treez POS & Carrot to prepare orders for fulfillment and checkout
• Maintain attractive, clean, and organized product displays
• Contribute to overall cleanliness of sales floor and employee areas (yes, we all clean the bathrooms)
• Support daily operations including opening/closing duties and customer deliveries
• Deliver warm, professional service to every customer, every time

What You Bring

• 1+ years of retail sales, hospitality, or customer service experience
• Cannabis product knowledge or a strong desire to learn
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and with a team
• Ability to work without being micromanaged
• You have a good sense of humor and don’t cause drama

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Able to work on-site in Rockaway Beach (local preferred)
• Must have availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Clean drivers license needed.
• Prior experience in cannabis, retail, and/or hospitality strongly preferred
• Must be able to pass all required state background checks

Compensation & Growth

• Part-Time: 20-30 hours per week at $18 per hour (plus tips) based on experience
