As an Accounting Coordinator with Seaboard Builders, you will manage and serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The Accounting Coordinator provides oversight, accuracy, and support for core accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting support, and compliance activities.
As an Accounting Coordinator with Seaboard Builders, you will manage and serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The Accounting Coordinator provides oversight, accuracy, and support for core accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting support, and compliance activities. This role plays a key part in helping the company achieve its financial goals by ensuring timely, accurate financial data, supporting operational performance, and contributing to sound financial planning and decision-making.

The Accounting Coordinator will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company.
· Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
· Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures.
· Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and accounts receivable/payable processing.
· Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and cash flow analysis to ensure accurate financial data.
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to aid strategic decision-making.
· Assist with insurance audit preparations.
· Utilize QuickBooks, Excel and other financial management tools to streamline processes.
· Knowledge and experience with BuilderTrend is a plus.
· Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using double entry bookkeeping principles, debits & credits, and accrual accounting methods.
· Collaborate across departments to enhance financial operations.
· Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
· Support annual tax preparation activities.
· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
· Excellent management and supervisory skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Proficient in QuickBooks.
· Proficient in Excel.
· Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
· Ten years or more of related experience is required.
· Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
· Able to travel as needed.
