SEA Crab House Host Seattle, WA · Full time

We are looking for an entry level or an experienced Host to join the SEA Crab House. The Host should be enthusiastic, demonstrate genuine hospitality, and an ability to provide excellent customer service for our guests in both the dining room and the bar. Exceptional Hosts will be able to demonstrate our ideal experience from the time the guest walks in the door until they walk out the door. A detailed understanding of the menu and ability to explain the items is essential. The Host is responsible for maintaining the station, entry way, and assisting in cleanliness of the entire restaurant as well as assisting wait staff as needed.


  • Warmly greets guests after within the established restaurant lobby
  • Engages customers in friendly conversation
  • Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting list
  • Escort customers to dining or bar areas
  • Assign guests evenly across different server sections in the restaurant
  • Keeps in contact with servers to make sure seating chart is properly balanced
  • Offer menus to waiting patrons in lobby
  • Answer incoming calls, regarding wait time, reservations, etc.
  • Help handle or assist to go orders via phone orders
  • Has a thorough understanding of food and drink offerings, including specials, limited offerings, and promotions within the company
  • Has solid knowledge of food and beverage menu selections, able to make suggestions and upsell on sale of appetizers, entrees, desserts and beverage selection
  • Assist in cleanliness and maintenance of all dining/service areas – ability to report deficiencies to management
  • Maintain a professional representation of company and restaurant, including proper uniform wearing, inclusivity to customers and positive attitude
  • Ability to prioritize service to customers over side work 
  • Ensures final food and beverage product adheres to customers order and meet presentation standards before delivery to table

Experience Requirements:

  • Basic written, verbal communication skills, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in an efficient manner
  • Familiar with safety practices 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift objects of up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Team members must work well with limited supervision within their specific position while being highly interactive with other team members in order for everyone to excel together

Additional Information:

  • Must meet any federal, state, county or municipal regulations pertaining to the service of food and beverages
  • Ability to understand dangers of chemical use and must follow all OSHA regulations

$16.5 - $16.5 per hour
