The Finance Director will be responsible for the financial management, financial compliance, and financial reporting for the $23M MCC-funded Equipping Secondary Educators Program Partnership (ESEPP).
School-to-School International (STS) is a nonprofit organization based in California, USA, committed to improving the lives and learning of girls and boys worldwide through thoughtful research, practice, and partnerships. For more than two decades, we have partnered with individuals, government ministries, nongovernmental organizations, private foundations, and research institutions to improve the quality of children’s learning through educational research and integrated support solutions for children in primary school. We have worked in more than 50 countries across the globe providing assistance in research and evaluation, curriculum and training, and policy and planning.
STS is currently participating in the proposal/bidding process for the $23M, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)-funded Equipping Secondary Educators Program Partnership (ESEPP). ESEPP is anticipated to be a five-year project that aims to improve the quality of secondary school educational leadership and teaching in Belize through capacity building and providing teaching and learning resources.
The Finance Director will be responsible for the financial management, financial compliance, and financial reporting for the $23M MCC-funded Equipping Secondary Educators Program Partnership (ESEPP).
Key responsibilities of the Finance Director include but are not limited to:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have sufficient ordinary ambulatory skills to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to be in one position for long periods of screen use, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear both in person and over devices. The employee interacts in closed spaces and frequently with other workers, vendors, and clients. May be in situations which require conflict resolution. The position works in an office environment with artificial light and air.
This position is based in the program office in Belize City, with domestic and international travel as needed.
This position reports to the ESEPP Chief of Party and supervises staff and/or consultants as needed.
