We're looking for an Evaluator to lead the diagnostic backbone of our practice, the assessments that shape everything that follows.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations across a range of ages, presentations, and communication modalities
- Recommend treatment goals grounded in each child's actual communication profile, not a one-size-fits-all framework
- Write evaluation reports that are clear, honest, and free of jargon that families can't use
- Hand off completed evaluations to the practice manager for clinician assignment, with the clarity needed for a smooth transition into care
- Communicate directly and warmly with families — including multilingual and bicultural households — throughout the evaluation process
- Stay current on neuroaffirming assessment practices and help shape how Sayit evaluates going forward
## What You Bring
- Active Connecticut SLP license (or eligibility) and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations across communication disorders and differences
- A neuroaffirming lens — you don't pathologize difference, you clarify need
- Comfort working with multilingual and bicultural families
- Sharp, honest clinical writing
- A low tolerance for rigid, compliance-driven models of care
