Role Overview
Sayit, Inc. is seeking a high-level SLP Supervisor to serve as the clinical architect and lead for our Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). This is not a "check-the-box" oversight role; you are the clinical authority. You will hold full responsibility and liability for the clinical outcomes of your SLPAs, ensuring that every session meets the highest standards of ASHA and Connecticut state compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Ownership: Serve as the primary clinician for all cases under your supervision. You interpret data, determine progress, and make all diagnostic and treatment-planning decisions.
- Rigorous Supervision: Execute mandated direct (10–20%) and indirect (10%) supervision hours. You must be available in real-time via phone/text during all SLPA sessions to provide immediate clinical guidance.
- Documentation Excellence: Perform a daily audit of session notes. You are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and signing off on 100% of SLPA documentation within one business day.
- Family Partnership: Serve as the sole clinical point of contact for families. You will lead 12-week progress reviews and manage all communication regarding clinical milestones and treatment shifts.
- Competency Development: Train SLPAs using the company’s Clinical Competency Sign-off protocol, moving them from high-intensity oversight to independent clinical execution based on verified performance.
Who You Are
- The "Buck Stops Here" Leader: You take pride in clinical excellence and do not require micromanagement. You are comfortable making independent decisions regarding patient care and SLPA performance.
- Effective Communicator: You can translate complex clinical data into actionable goals for families and clear instructions for your SLPA team.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Connecticut SLP License and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience (previous supervisory experience preferred).
- Must meet all ASHA requirements to provide supervision (including completion of the 2-hour supervision CEU).
What We Offer
- Structured Workload: Clinical hours and supervision ratios are calculated using a transparent formula to prevent burnout and ensure quality.
- Focus on Clinicals: Our administrative team handles all scheduling, intake, and insurance, allowing you to focus entirely on clinical leadership.
- Professional Growth: Opportunity to shape the clinical culture of a growing practice.
