About Sayit, inc

Sayit, Inc. is a neurodiversity-affirming speech therapy clinic dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages to communicate confidently and effectively. We provide evidence-based, client-centered therapy that supports speech, language, and social communication skills in a welcoming and inclusive environment. What sets us apart is our commitment to advocacy, innovation, and holistic support for our clients and their families. Our team fosters collaboration, lifelong learning, and tailored interventions that honor each individual’s unique strengths. With a focus on inclusion, and cutting-edge approaches, Sayit is redefining what it means to support communication development.

Description

This role has two parts, in order of priority:

  1. SLPA Supervision (primary function). You are fully responsible for all clinical services delivered by our SLPA(s) — supervision, documentation compliance, outcomes, and family communication once treatment begins.
  2. Evaluations, as needed. When evaluation capacity is needed, you'll complete the full evaluation package (intake review through report writing) for assigned cases. This is a secondary, as-assigned function — not the core of the role.

SLPA Supervision — core responsibilities

  • Own all SLPA clinical outcomes; make independent clinical decisions within your role without deferring routine matters upward
  • Provide Direct Supervision at the legally required minimum — 20% of the SLPA's clinical contact time during their first 90 days, 10% after, per Connecticut law and ASHA standards
  • Provide Indirect Supervision that is clinically evaluative: documentation review and co-signing, clinical coaching, data analysis, treatment plan adjustments
  • Be reachable for real-time consultation during all SLPA sessions
  • Manage family communication once a case moves into active treatment

SLPA Supervision — role boundaries (not part of this role)

Scheduling, intake, insurance verification/authorization tracking, and general office operations. You are not a middle layer escalating routine issues — decisions within your scope stay with you.

Evaluations — when assigned

  • Complete the full evaluation package: intake review, assessment selection, direct evaluation, scoring/interpretation, report writing, ICD-10 and medical necessity documentation, and handoff to admin
  • Standard 5-business-day report turnaround
  • Compensated separately from your supervisory base, per Sayit's Approved Evaluation Payment Table (varies by payer — insurance-billed evaluations and private-pay evaluations are priced differently to reflect what each actually generates for the practice)

Who we're looking for

  • CT-licensed SLP (CCC-SLP)
  • Comfortable and confident functioning as a supervisor of record — this role carries real legal and clinical liability for SLPA-delivered care, not just mentorship
  • Bilingual Spanish-English strongly preferred
  • Pediatric outpatient and/or Birth-to-Three evaluation experience
  • A genuinely neurodiversity-affirming clinical philosophy — we screen for real alignment here, not just familiarity with the language
  • Comfortable with a dual-function role: steady supervisory rhythm most of the time, evaluation work when the caseload calls for it
