Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

  • Oversee all administrative and clinical functions within the oral and cosmetic surgery division
  • Ensure efficient scheduling, patient flow, and treatment planning coordination
  • Manage inventory and ordering of surgical supplies and equipment
  • Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure accurate billing, coding, and insurance processing
  • Maintain accurate records for credentialing, licensure, and continuing education of surgical staff

Leadership & Staff Management

  • Supervise and support oral and cosmetic surgery staff including surgical assistants and coordinators
  • Conduct regular team meetings to promote communication, efficiency, and morale
  • Provide onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
  • Monitor staffing levels and coordinate hiring with HR when necessary

Compliance & Quality Control

  • Ensure all protocols follow OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental board regulations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment per infection control standards
  • Monitor documentation, consent forms, and EMR accuracy
  • Coordinate inspections, audits, and regulatory requirements

Patient Experience & Communication

  • Promote a compassionate and responsive patient care culture
  • Resolve patient complaints and service issues quickly and professionally
  • Collaborate with marketing and patient education teams for growth and retention
  • Support patient financial consultation processes in collaboration with billing

Business Development & Reporting

  • Track KPIs including surgical volume, revenue, case acceptance rate, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for service expansion
  • Prepare and present regular reports on division performance and improvement strategies
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for the oral and cosmetic surgery division

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of management experience in a dental, oral surgery, or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of oral/maxillofacial surgery workflows and terminology
  • Proficient with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Certification in Practice Management (e.g., CMOM, FAADOM, or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary practice or medspa environment
  • Familiarity with surgical billing, CDT codes, and patient financing options

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced surgical practice with regular patient interactions
  • May require occasional weekend or extended hours based on operational needs
  • Role may involve lifting surgical supplies and standing for long periods during clinic hours


Salary

$75,000 - $105,000 per year
