Job Overview:

As a Dental Assistant at Savvy Smiles Family Dental, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dental practice. Working alongside our skilled dental professionals, you will contribute to the overall success of our clinic by providing chairside assistance and exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring clear and accurate images
• Perform dental charting, record medical histories, and update patient records as necessary
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral healthcare instructions
• Assist in the administration of dental anesthesia and other medications as directed by the dentist
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage patient flow, and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care and achieve practice goals
• Adhere to all infection control protocols and maintain strict compliance with safety regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• State of Ohio X-ray Certification
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a dental assistant
• Valid CPR certification
• Proficiency in dental terminology, equipment, and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 32 – 34 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• No weekends
• No Fridays
