Schedule:
Saturdays 7:30am – 1:30pm year-round,
Tuesdays 7:30am – 1:30pm May – Dec., and
Tuesday afternoons 3pm – 6pm July – Sept.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Timely arrival at work early in the morning (7:30am)
- Set up and break down of work area, including moving several folding tables, chairs and
- supply bins.
- Operate a tablet-based POS system and run card transactions
- Accurately count and dispense SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks tokens to customers
- Be willing and able to direct visitors to Farmers’ Market vendors and answer general
- questions about the Farmers’ Market and Santa Fe
- Interact with regular Farmers’ Market staff and volunteers
- Maintain a neat and organized work area
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
- Customer service and/or retail experience required.
- Basic math and transaction handling skills required
- Flexibility and ease in interacting with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced, public-facing
- environment.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
- High accuracy in work, attention to detail and thoroughness
- Proven verbal communications skills required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Ability to bend and lift 20-25 lbs and carry a folding table
- Working in a noisy, open-air environment
