LCPC Clinical Lead

Location: Baltimore/Windsor Mill, MD

Salary: $88,000–$95,000 annually, commensurate with experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

The LCPC Clinical Lead will provide direct clinical care while helping strengthen and grow Sankofa's mental health program. This role combines psychotherapy, clinical leadership, quality assurance, program development, and, when qualified, supervision of LGPCs. As the program grows, this position has the opportunity to develop into broader leadership of Sankofa's mental health services.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
• Complete diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans, and ongoing clinical documentation.
• Maintain an active caseload while supporting clinical leadership responsibilities.
• Provide consultation on complex cases, risk concerns, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making.
• Support clinical quality through documentation review, case consultation, and quality-improvement activities.
• Help onboard, train, and develop mental health clinicians.
• Provide supervision to LGPCs if approved by the Maryland Board.
• Develop clinically appropriate groups and other mental health programming.
• Help improve client access, retention, referral pathways, and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with Sankofa's interdisciplinary clinical teams.
• Identify problems within the counseling program and help develop practical solutions.

Productivity Expectations

Once the caseload is established, the Clinical Lead will generally maintain approximately 24–26 completed clinical service blocks per week through a combination of individual therapy, family therapy, diagnostic evaluations, and group psychotherapy.

Time will also be provided for clinical leadership, supervision, consultation, quality assurance, and program development.

Caseload expectations will gradually increase during the first several months as the clinician becomes established.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Active Maryland LCPC license in good standing.
• Master's degree or higher in counseling or a related behavioral health field.
• Strong assessment, diagnosis, treatment-planning, and psychotherapy skills.
• Strong documentation and clinical judgment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred:

• Maryland Board-approved supervisor status.
• Experience supervising LGPCs.
• Clinical leadership or program-development experience.
• Experience working with Medicaid populations.
• Experience with children, adolescents, and families.
• Experience with children who exhibit behavioral concerns
• Experience developing or facilitating psychotherapy groups.
• Experience with clinical quality assurance or documentation review.

Growth Opportunity

We are looking for someone who can grow with the program. As our mental health team expands, this role may develop into a Mental Health Clinical Supervisor or Director of Mental Health Services position.
