Job Summary:
The CNA/HHA provides personal care and support services to clients in their homes, assisting them with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensuring their comfort and safety. This role is essential to promoting the highest quality of life and maintaining the dignity of each client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
- Provide mobility assistance including transferring and positioning.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements.
- Monitor and record clients’ vital signs, intake/output, and report changes in condition to supervising nurse or case manager.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
- Assist with medication reminders (if allowed under state regulations).
- Follow client-specific care plans and document all services provided.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CNA or HHA certification in [state].
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if travel is required).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
