About SamCart

SamCart builds, runs, and scales your online business. Where most platforms hand creators more work — more pages to build, more tech to figure out — our platform does the work for them, leveraging AI to guide them through best practices and strategies we have seen across thousands of creators. That’s not just how our product works. It’s how we work. SamCart operates on an AI-first model — Claude is embedded into how we plan, build, and ship across every team, from initiative scoping to release documentation. This isn’t a pilot. It’s how we run the business today. We believe our customers’ success is our success — and we take that seriously. It’s how we think about our customers, and it’s how we think about our people.

Description

Most sales jobs want a closer who can push. We want one who can listen.

SamCart is hiring a Sales Representative for our SMB segment. This is a high-volume, quota-carrying inbound sales role selling to creators and coaches who are building online businesses. Every lead comes from Marketing, so there is no cold prospecting from scratch. Base plus uncapped commission, remote anywhere in the US.

This starts as a 90-day W-2 engagement with a defined path to a permanent role. We built it that way so both sides can prove fit quickly, and you will know exactly what the conversion bar is on day one.

What you'll be selling

We are looking to grow our sales team by adding a highly motivated Sales Representative focused on our SMB segment. Our flagship program is where SamCart goes beyond software. It is the coaching, curriculum, and community that teaches creators how to actually build, launch, and scale a digital product business. Deal sizes are in the thousands, cycles are short, and volume is high. When a creator wins with the program, they win on SamCart. The two grow together.

How you'll sell

Our SMB buyers are often investing their own money in a personal dream, sometimes at a vulnerable moment in their lives. They are career changers, coaches, and first-time creators, not procurement teams.

We sell honest. The fastest way to lose here, and the fastest way to drive refunds and lost trust, is to pressure someone into a program they were never a fit for. The best closers on this team win by listening harder than everyone else and telling the truth, even when the truth is "not yet."

In practice:

  • Listen more than you talk. Discovery calls run about 45 minutes. You let the creator tell you their real situation before you recommend anything. You ask better questions than most people, and you actually hear the answers.
  • Lead with empathy. You meet fear, self-doubt, and money stress with genuine reassurance, not a script and a countdown timer. Trust is what converts, and it is what keeps a sale from coming back as a refund.
  • Diagnose, then prescribe. You map the creator's funnel and goals out loud with them, show them what is possible, then recommend the right program or tell them honestly when the timing is not right.
  • Close on the call or the follow-up. Many deals close live. The rest are won through rigorous, high-cadence follow-up.
  • Disqualify kindly. You protect the buyer and the business by walking away from prospects who are not ready, and you do it in a way that leaves the door open.

What you'll do

  • Own the full cycle from discovery to close on inbound leads from webinars, challenges, and launch campaigns
  • Run consultative 45-minute discovery calls and exceed close rate targets
  • Work outbound into unconverted and lapsed leads to keep pipeline full between launches
  • Manage high-cadence follow-up across phone, SMS, and email, which is where most SMB deals are actually won
  • Walk buyers through payment options and process enrollments cleanly and accurately
  • Track everything in HubSpot and deliver weekly reporting on leads, conversions, and close rates
  • Build the playbooks, call frameworks, and objection libraries this segment does not have yet

What success looks like

  • Days 1 to 14: Product and program certification complete, calls shadowed, tooling habits established, taking live calls.
  • Days 15 to 45: Running a full independent call load, hitting ramped targets, your own pipeline and follow-up system up and running.
  • Days 46 to 90: Consistently at or above full target with accurate forecasting, plus a documented point of view on what this segment needs next.

What you'll love about SamCart

Our co-founders always say "their success is our success," and we believe that about our people too.

  • We get together in person every quarter: once a year for SamCamp, our multi-day all-company offsite, plus a company Hub Week in the other quarters.
  • You will work with the best AI tools out there. Claude is built into how we operate, and we invest in your AI skills through hands-on learning labs.
  • Unlimited PTO with an encouraged 14-day minimum.
  • Health insurance premiums covered 100% by SamCart for you plus one, whether that is a partner or a child.
  • Supportive parental leave for all parents, and yes, we have a 401(k).
  • A monthly lunch credit, because a good meal on us is a small way to say thanks.
  • On a small, fast-moving team your work is visible and your impact is real.

What we're looking for

  • 2 to 4 years of top performance in a quota-carrying closing role at a high-volume SaaS, eCommerce, coaching, or education company
  • A track record you can talk about in numbers: quota, attainment, close rate, cycle length
  • Real emotional intelligence. You can sell to someone spending their own money on a personal goal and leave them better off either way.
  • Comfort with high call volume, short cycles, and running the money conversation live on a call
  • Resilience with rejection, and the steadiness to hold space for a buyer's fear and self-doubt without steamrolling it
  • HubSpot experience, and genuine excitement about using AI tools in your day-to-day work
  • Bonus if you have lived it: built an audience, or sold a digital product, coaching, or a mastermind before

Nice to have, not required: experience with iClosed, Aloware, or Metabase. If you have not used them, you will pick them up in your first week.
