Salt City Coffee opened at 509 West Onondaga St. in 2017 and has since expanded to 4 locations throughout the Syracuse area. We proudly supply a long list of local wholesale partners, host events, and bring cafe-quality specialty coffee to festivals and private functions alike with our mobile espresso bar. Our coffee roasting program aims to highlight the best of what our ethically-sourced beans have to offer. We're intentional with our menu development, keeping coffee front and center while also maintaining a sense of playfulness and creativity. Since the beginning, our mission has been to connect the community of Syracuse and share our coffee in a meaningful way.

Salt City Coffee is looking for dedicated and reliable baristas to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis at our location at 720 University Ave. Ideal applicants will have 4 days of availability per week on an ongoing basis. For context, we're looking for people with availability that allows them to work full shifts: opening shifts (6:30-12) mid shifts (7am-3pm, 8am-4pm) or closing shifts on weekdays (10am-5pm or 12pm-5pm).

As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks with precision and care

- Enthusiastically guide customers through our menu and make recommendations based on their preferences and your expertise

- Provide friendly and efficient customer service at all times

- Maintain a spotless and organized work environment, including daily and weekly cleaning tasks

- Act as a representative of Salt City Coffee, embodying our values and mission

**Requirements:**

- Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required

- Reliability & dependability!

- Curiosity about the science of coffee and willingness to learn and hone new skills

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

- Detail-oriented and creative with a passion for creating high-quality beverages

- Cooperative team player who works well with all different types of people and likes making their coworkers look good!

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays

**Pay: $14.20 per hour plus tips**
