Salt City Coffee opened at 509 West Onondaga St. in 2017 and has since expanded to 4 locations throughout the Syracuse area. We proudly supply a long list of local wholesale partners, host events, and bring cafe-quality specialty coffee to festivals and private functions alike with our mobile espresso bar. Our coffee roasting program aims to highlight the best of what our ethically-sourced beans have to offer. We're intentional with our menu development, keeping coffee front and center while also maintaining a sense of playfulness and creativity. Since the beginning, our mission has been to connect the community of Syracuse and share our coffee in a meaningful way.

Salt City Coffee is looking for passionate and skilled baristas to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. We're currently hiring for a new drive-through cafe location opening in a few weeks. The cafe is located in Clay, NY, just north of Syracuse. Before the location opens, you will be trained and work shifts at one of our existing locations.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee beverages and food items, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Efficiency and multitasking will be extra important with this new location, which will have a drive-through window and regular indoor cafe service.

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks & food with precision and care

- Guide customers through our menu and make recommendations based on their preferences and your expertise

- Provide friendly and efficient customer service at all times

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including daily and weekly cleaning tasks

- Act as a representative of Salt City Coffee, embodying our values and mission

**Requirements:**

- Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Bonus points if you've worked at a drive-through before!

- Curiosity about the science of coffee and willingness to learn and hone new skills

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

- Detail-oriented and creative with a passion for creating high-quality products

- Cooperative team player who works well with all different types of people and likes making their coworkers look good!

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays

- Ideally open to staying on at least through the summer of 2026

**Pay: $14.20 per hour plus tips**

**Start Date: ASAP**
