Position Title: Instructional Design Intern

Team: Learning & Product

Reports To: Chief Learning Officer (CLO)

Role Overview:

SalesBoost LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Instructional Design Intern to join our award-winning organization. This internship will play a pivotal role in supporting our learning and product team by gathering content, validating accuracy, and ensuring alignment with our brand guidelines and instructional standards. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for instructional design and The Science of Learning.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Instructional Design Lead and Chief Learning Officer to gather content, validate accuracy, and ensure alignment. 
• Audit course content using a template to organize and categorize courses.  
• Apply approved updates and revisions to existing course content to align with newly established brand guidelines, maintaining consistency with the organization's branding while ensuring instructional effectiveness. 
• Develop outlines and design e-learning presentations and other instructional materials based on existing course content.  
• Conduct quality assurance checks on instructional materials to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to instructional design standards. 
• Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in instructional design and e-learning to continuously improve your skills and practices. 
• Utilize project management software to maintain detailed documentation of instructional design processes and meet deadlines.  
• Attend team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and design reviews to contribute ideas, provide feedback, and collaborate with team members.  

Requirements: 

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, instructional technology, or a related field from an accredited institution. 
• Basic understanding of instructional design principles, theories, and methodologies acquired through coursework or practical experience. 
• Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and meticulously follow instructions to ensure accuracy and quality in instructional materials. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas, ask questions, and convey information effectively to team members, stakeholders, and subject matter experts. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaborating effectively with team members, receiving constructive feedback, and contributing positively to team dynamics. 
• Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Basic proficiency in technology and computer applications commonly used in instructional design, such as learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, multimedia editing software, and Microsoft Office suite. 
• Familiarity with fundamental principles of graphic design and graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
