About the Role
We’re looking for a high-performing Property Accountant to own the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of retail properties. This is a hands-on role that includes financial reporting, CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and lease administration. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting operational decisions, and enhancing property performance.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties
- Prepare monthly financial statements and perform variance analysis
- Complete annual CAM reconciliations accurately and on schedule
- Administer and maintain leases in Rent Manager; process CPI adjustments and escalations
- Support budget preparation and lender compliance reporting
- Track and enforce tenant sales reporting and lease obligations
📌 Required Experience
- 3+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience (retail preferred)
- CAM Reconciliation expertise is a must.
- Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and financial integrity.
- Strong proficiency with accounting systems (Rent Manager preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
