Lead advanced anesthesia care in a cutting-edge specialty imaging center where precision, innovation, and work-life balance come together to help pets get answers faster.
We are looking for a Lead Veterinary Technician to support advanced diagnostic imaging procedures in a specialty, outpatient setting. This is focused, high-level anesthesia work where preparation, monitoring, and recovery truly matter.
Why This Role Is Different
Anesthesia at Sage is not rushed. Its not reactive. And its not split across ten competing priorities. As a Lead Veterinary Technician here, you are part of a specialty anesthesia workflow that supports imaging procedures requiring accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail. Technicians who thrive in this role often come from specialty or ER backgrounds and are looking for:
Many techs tell us after joining: I finally get to do anesthesia the way it should be done.
Why You'll Love Working Here
1. Be Part of Something Bigger: You'll work with radiologists and specialists, participate in real-time case collaboration, and practice medicine in an environment built for teaching, precision, and innovation.
2. Do the Best Medicine of Your Career: Our advanced imaging technology and protocols allow you to practice predictable, safe, anesthesia-supported diagnostics without the chaos of general practice or ER unpredictability.
3. Work With a Team That Truly Cares: We foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture where humility, curiosity, compassion, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
4. Designed for Work-Life Balance: Daytime hours. No overnights. No major holidays. Predictable scheduling so you can enjoy life outside the clinic.
What You'll Be Doing (High-Level)
You'll be a part of a team, work closely with board-certified radiologists, associate veterinarians, imaging technologists, and operations and technical teams where your focus will be on:
• Safe anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Patient preparation for imaging procedures
• Maintaining consistency with anesthesia protocols
• Supporting imaging workflows across MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound
• Contributing to a collaborative, teaching-focused environment
Rather than overwhelm candidates with a checklist, we walk through day-to-day responsibilities during conversation — because this role is best understood through context.
Who this is a great fit for:
• Licensed or credentialed veterinary technicians
• Techs who enjoy anesthesia, monitoring, and patient safety
• Individuals with specialty, ER, or advanced GP experience
• Professionals who value protocol, preparation, and teamwork
• Techs looking for longevity and reduced burnout.
Prior specialty or imaging experience is helpful, but not required. A strong anesthesia foundation and attention to detail matter most. If you're curious, thoughtful, and open to a different way of working — that matters more than having a perfect background.
