As Hospital Director, DVM, you'll partner with the Hospital Manager and Executive Leadership Team to advance clinical excellence, develop high-performing teams, strengthen referral relationships, and help shape the future of veterinary medicine.

You'll also mentor interns and early-career veterinarians, helping develop the next generation of clinicians while continuing to practice at the highest level.

More About the Role

You'll lead a highly skilled, referral-based imaging team focused on delivering definitive diagnostic answers through advanced imaging technologies, including 3T MRI, 128-slice CT, ultrasound, digital radiography, and same-day digital cytology.

Unlike traditional practice, your focus won't be managing appointment volume, wellness visits, or emergency caseloads. Instead, you'll spend your time:

• Leading clinical excellence and advancing medical quality.
• Mentoring veterinarians, interns, and clinical teams.
• Collaborating with board-certified radiologists, specialists, and residents on complex cases.
• Building strong relationships with referring veterinarians.
• Developing a positive, high-performing hospital culture.
• Helping shape the continued growth of Sage Veterinary Imaging.

What You'll Do

Lead Clinical Excellence

• Ensure the highest standards of patient care, medical quality, and clinical excellence.
• Provide oversight of imaging, anesthesia, and diagnostic protocols.
• Partner with board-certified radiologists and specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
• Advance quality assurance, protocol development, case review, and evidence-based practice.
• Lead clinical discussions, case reviews, and continuing education initiatives.

Develop Doctors and Interns

• Mentor veterinarians and veterinary interns through coaching, case discussions, and regular feedback.
• Guide clinical decision-making and professional development.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of future veterinarians.
• Foster a culture of learning, accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

Build a High-Performing Team

• Lead and develop an engaged, collaborative medical team.
• Partner with the Hospital Manager to support hospital operations and organizational success.
• Strengthen relationships with referring veterinarians and specialty partners.
• Champion Sage Veterinary Imaging's mission, values, and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Strategic Growth & Referral Leadership

As Hospital Director, you'll partner with the Hospital Manager and Executive Leadership Team to support the continued growth of Sage Veterinary Imaging while strengthening relationships with the veterinary community.

You'll help drive growth by:

• Partnering with leadership to identify opportunities to enhance patient care, hospital performance, and clinical services.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with referring veterinarians and specialty partners.
• Serving as a clinical ambassador for Sage Veterinary Imaging within the veterinary community.
• Participating in educational programs, referral engagement, and professional outreach initiatives.
• Contributing to the development of new services, strategic partnerships, and future growth opportunities.

Qualifications

We're looking for an experienced veterinarian with a passion for clinical excellence, collaboration, and developing others.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD).
• Eligible for or currently licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Texas (or able to obtain licensure).
• Five or more years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or developing veterinarians, interns, or clinical teams.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and coaching skills.
• A commitment to evidence-based medicine, continuous learning, and exceptional patient care.
• Comfort working with veterinary technology platforms (EzyVet, PACS, Slack, or similar systems).
