Sage Therapy is currently seeking a Fully Licensed Clinician (LCSW, LCPC, PsyD or PhD) who is interested in joining the team by working as a Lead Supervisor. The Lead Supervisor will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will provide direct clinical services, management and leadership oversight with an approximate 60/40 balance. This role is responsible for supervising and consulting with cohorts of supervisors and fully licensed clinical staff, leading performance management and employee review processes, and maintaining active investment in key performance indicators (KPIs) and the overall operational and clinical health of the organization. This role is ideal for someone interested in focusing on clinical and organizational leadership, as well as supervisor development, with direct client care remaining a component of the position but not the primary focus.

We provide the tools you need so that you can focus your energy on building your caseload and providing excellent quality mental health treatment for your clients. Resources provided by Sage Therapy include: marketing to obtain a steady stream of clients for you, billing and credentialing services, liability insurance, on-boarding new clients, and office space if/when seeing clients in person. This position includes competitive pay and flexibility with regard to total number of hours and available days and times. Clinicians must be open to work evenings and/or weekends and working a hybrid (virtual and in-person) schedule.

We provide 1:1 weekly supervision to pre and provisionally licensed therapists and optional weekly group consultation (optional) to all. Additionally, we offer opportunities for professional growth through program development, community outreach and creative endeavors through blogging, videos, workshops, presentations, social media and brand development. We offer in-house trainings for CEUs as well as funding toward external CEU credits and trainings of your choice, lunch and learns, all staff meetings and consultation groups. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Clinical Training & Development of Staff (30%)
  • Partner with the Chief Operating Officer and leadership team to support the overall operational and clinical health of the organization
  • Supervise and consult with cohorts of supervisors and fully licensed clinical staff
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of supervisors and clinical staff
  • Serve as a resource and escalation point for complex clinical, ethical, or personnel issues
  • Provide crisis management support as incidents arise. This would include:
  • Engaging in crisis debrief
  • Ensuring all legal/ethical obligations related to mandated reporting are met, and leadership team is informed/consulted
  • Client Therapy Services (30%)
  • Provide direct clinical services to clients in alignment with practice standards and ethical guidelines
  • Lead supervisors will be expected to maintain a FT caseload of 45+ client sessions/month 
  • Help clients develop skills and set tangible goals to improve mental health;
  • Other appropriate and related therapeutic services, as needed
  • Operational Oversight and Performance Management (40%)
  • Support supervisors in addressing clinical, professional, and performance-related challenges within their teams.
  • Monitor and engage with key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, documentation compliance, quality of care, and retention.
  • With the support of leadership, lead performance management processes, including goal setting, ongoing feedback, corrective action, and performance improvement plans when indicated
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and contribute to promotion, compensation, and retention decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Licensed Clinician/psychologist in the state of Illinois: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD
  • Must have clinical supervisory experience
  • Must have management experience
  • Adherence to standards of service operations, documentation, and confidentiality at all times;
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, leadership and organizational/time management skills
  • Must be independent, driven, open-minded, compassionate, interpersonal, and a team player;
  • Embrace a growth mindset - you feel confident in your abilities as a therapist and are also willing to learn;
  • Have experience working with adults, adolescents and/or couples;
  • Have experience working with psychosocial issues such as work/life balance, stress management, depression, relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, substance abuse, and life transitions.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Some evening and or weekend hours may be required
  • Will collaboratively set your schedule/hours in a 1:1 meeting with the Owner of the practice to times that meet the needs of the practice and fit your schedule.

Work Setting:

  • This position is predominantly remote through teletherapy, with opportunities to see clients in-person (optional) at our downtown and/or Wicker Park or Lakeview office, as well as provide group therapy (optional) in person and/or remotely.
