Analyst Position
Reports To: Chief Investment Officer | Full-Time, Exempt | Chattanooga, TN (In-Office)
PURPOSE
The Analyst position is a dynamic role with deep exposure to investments across asset classes. You will be the backbone of our investment operation, working directly with the Chief Investment Officer. You will manage the systems and data that allow the CIO to focus on high level strategy. You will be the person who keeps the train on the tracks- ensuring investment opportunities and current portfolio updates are tracked, analyzed, and communicated.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Portfolio Oversight. You maintain a comprehensive and current view of the portfolio across all asset classes. You track valuation changes, review quarterly updates from fund managers, and communicate high-level updates to the team. The portfolio is your domain.
- Pipeline Management. You will take an active role in helping the CIO build out a formal investment pipeline process. You filter and prioritize incoming opportunities, organize materials at each stage, and prepare the analysis our Investment Committee needs to make good decisions. Your job is to bring order and clarity to a steady flow of varied and dense information.
- Benchmarking & Analysis. You translate qualitative and quantitative data that drive decisions. You are fluent in the numbers, but more importantly you recognize patterns, surface insights, and communicate findings in a way that is clear and actionable.
- Initial Diligence Support. As your understanding of our thesis deepens, you will take on initial diligence calls with fund managers and deal sponsors. This requires not just analytical rigor, but genuine intellectual curiosity and the ability to ask the right questions.
- Systems & Operational Continuity. You work closely with our accounting team (which processes capital calls, distributions, and valuation statements) to build reports and maintain data accuracy across the organization. The standard does not slip when things get busy, and you take ownership of that continuity.
